Oppo has launched yet another 5G smartphone in the Indian market and this time it is Oppo A53s 5G. The phone has not been launched yet, but it will soon launch in the country on April 27, as confirmed by the company. The phone will be powered using the Mediatek Dimensity 700 SoC chipset, which not only provides good performance but also 5G capabilities. The major USP of the smartphone is that it will be launched under the price bracket of Rs 15,000 which makes it one of the best offerings in its segment.
The company has also shared a few images of the smartphone which shows a side-mounted fingerprint sensor along with a triple camera setup on the rear. Oppo has confirmed that it will launch the phone through e-commerce giant Flipkart and their own website, There is not much detail on the hardware specification of the phone, but it does seem like that it could be a rebranded version of the A55 5G smartphone that was launched initially in 2021 in the Chinese market.
If it is the rebranded version of the smartphone, then one might get good 5G functionality on the smartphone, but it might degrade on the camera sensor as the A55 only had a 13MP primary camera sensor in the triple camera setup. Although the phone will be running on the new version of ColorOS and will offer a 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging support. The smartphone seems to be placed very competitively in the market and will surely target users looking for 5G-enabled smartphones at an affordable cost.
