Google Pixel 7a Reportedly Set to Debut with 256GB Storage and Diverse Color Palette

Google will launch the Pixel 7a, a mid-range smartphone, on May 10 at its I/O 2023 event. According to the most recent leak by source Paras Guglani, the phone will come in five color versions, a first for the A-series Pixel phones. These colors include Dinuguan Black, Crispy Kale, Mayo Cream, Tide Orange, and Vivid Ube. Furthermore, the Pixel 7a is expected to offer 256GB of storage, twice as much as the Pixel 6a.

The gadget is expected to have a dual-camera setup on the back with a 12MP ultra-wide camera sensor and a 64MP Sony IMX787 primary camera sensor. The phone is expected to contain a 10.8MP front camera for selfies, similar to the one seen in the more costly Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

The Pixel 7a’s 6.1-inch OLED screen will boast a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a Full HD+ resolution. The phone will include a punch-hole cutout in the upper center of the screen. The phone will likely have Google’s Tensor G2 SoC, a custom-designed chipset.

In the design drawings, the back of the phone looks to have a metallic camera module resembling a visor, and it is reported to support 5W wireless charging. Nevertheless, current specifications for the battery or charging speed need to be improved. The Pixel 7a will ship with Android 13 pre-installed and is expected to go on sale in India shortly after the I/O 2023 debut. Genuine images of the phone have also been leaked. Google is expected to make additional availability and pricing announcements soon.
