OnePlus smartwatch coming this March and might not run Wear OS

OnePlus is all ready to show the world their first smartwatch which has been under development for years. The rumors suggest that we could see the launch of the OnePlus smartwatch any time in the Q1 of the year. Even OnePlus has now confirmed that they would be announcing the smartwatch details on March 23, when they will also launch the OnePlus 9 smartphone. The company has been very secretive about the OnePlus watch and its development.

However, they have also been giving important details on the progress of the watch on social media. Now, a new leak has made it on the internet which provides a lot of details about the watch. The details were given by Ishan Agarwal, who is a trusted leakster, and confirmed that the watch will have a 46mm circular dial and be available in both standard and LTE variants. Also, the company will only be launching the watch in two colors, which will be the black and silver option. Also, the smartwatch does not seem to be running on Wear OS as most of the smartwatches are operating on right now.

It will have common features like the OnePlus Band, which is IP68 rated wearable that will support automatic workout detection, a swimming mode, sleep, and stress tracking, heart rate monitoring, and a SpO2 sensor. It will also have the ability to control the OnePLus TV and with 4GB of storage, one can play music offline. It will also bring in Wrap charge tech to the watch for faster charging.
