Xiaomi has finally announced the MIUI 12.5 updates for eligible smartphones which were expected to launch just before the release of MIUI 13. It was earlier expected that the company would release the MIUI 12.5 version much earlier and with Mi 11, the company would be launching the MIUI 13. However, Xiaomi decided to launch MIUI 12.5 right now and work on the development of MIUI 13 for a long while. After the launch of Mi 11, Xiaomi will not be rolling out the stable release of MIUI 12.5 for other smartphones as well from April 2021.
There will be several notable enhancements that one will observe in this system update. The latest version of MIUI brings a lot of super wallpapers and new animations as well, which makes the user interface much more interactive. The update will also bring a lot of new enhanced privacy protection controls. As per the company, the new system update will not only decrease the battery consumption but will also bring the Super-Earth, Super Mars, and Super Saturn Live Wallpapers added via the MIUI 12 received additions in the form of Snow Mountain and Geometry wallpapers.
MIUI 12.5 will consume 40% less power than MIUI 12 and will give the users the option to share the approximate location and not the exact one. Other features include the sound effect enhancement, architecture animation, sleek effects on the interface, and a lot more. The updates will be given to Redmi Note 7 and all the phones released by the company after that.
