Xiaomi Mi 11 to be the first phone to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888

A lot of leaks and details have been leaked about Xiaomi’s upcoming premium flagship, the Mi 11 and it was thought of as the first to house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875. However, Qualcomm has recently announced their new chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and it will be now powering the Mi 11. In fact, Mi 11 will be the first phone in the market with the chipset. Ever since the chipset was announced by the company, many smartphone manufacturers made the announcement of them using the new chipset in their upcoming smartphones. 

Xiaomi went a step ahead and announced that the chipset will be making a global debut on Mi 11. There is also good news for Redmi fans as Redmi director Lu Weibing announced that they will be moving to SoC and will also reveal their first premium flagship with SD888. However, they did not reveal any kind of details on the smartphone or when it can be expected in the market. The Mi smartphones have always been the first devices to get the latest Snapdragon processors and it will remain the same this time as well. 

We already know Xiaomi is going to release the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro smartphones soon and they will be powered by the new chipset. In the case of Redmi, it can be the Redmi K40, however, these are just speculations at this point in time and the company might be working on an entirely new smartphone series for such a powerful chipset.
