Xiaomi has been very competitive in the Smart TV market in India as it was one of the most potent active markets after smartphones. There are many different variants of Smart TV by Xiaomi in the Indian market and now they will be launching a more premium version as well. The company will be launching their 55-inch Mi QLED TV 4K in India on December 16 and it will be the category’s first premium Smart TV offering by the company to date in India.
The TV will not be the same as a Mi TV 5/Mi TV 5 Pro, which is already selling in the Chinese and European markets. It was earlier rumored that the TV will be similar to the already selling models. However, it has now been confirmed that the Indian model will be completely new. Xiaomi’s first smart TV in India, the Mi TV 4, was billed as the world’s thinnest smart LED TV and the main USP for the sale was the aggressive pricing.
The company has ever since upgraded their Smart TV variants regularly, providing the users with variants like Mi TV 4X Pro and more. The Mi QLED TV will be a successor to My TV 4 and in terms of performance, the company claims that it is at least four to five times ahead of the current generation in Smart TVs. The smart TV comes with a hundred percent color volume with the advantage of Quantum dots. The company also added that all the QLED TVs sold in India will be made in India as well
