Lava to hold an event on January 7 for “Made in India” smartphones

With the Indian smartphone market flooded with multiple smartphones from a wide variety of companies, Indian smartphone companies have also decided to re-launch themselves with an entirely new offering. Recently, Micromax re-launched themselves with their One series of smartphones which aimed to provide a good mid-range phone experience at a budget price. Similar to this, another Indian smartphone manufacturer Lava has now geared up for the launch of its new smartphone in the Indian market.

The company has started sending an invitation for January 7 where they will launch their new smartphone Lava Beu. The company will be using the event to launch five different smartphones along with a wearable product. However, there is still no detail about the other smartphones that the company is planning to launch along with Beu. Lava Beu is listed as an entry-level smartphone on the company website at the price tag of Rs 6,888 and the other four smartphones that will be launched alongside will be priced between the range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000.

The Lava Beyu smartphone will have a 6.08-inch screen along with an HD+ panel with 720 x 1050 pixel resolution with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. The processor is still unknown but it will be powered using 2GB DDR4 RAM and 32GB internal storage with a microSD card slot. The phone will also support a 4,060 mAh battery but there is no confirmation on fast charging support. The phone will have a 13MP and 2MP dual camera setup on the rear and an 8MP camera for selfies in the front.
