Google Pixel 6 might get an under-display camera in the front

A few months back, Google introduced its Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G smartphones in the market. The company has already started the development of the next smartphone in the series which is the Google Pixel 6. The next generation of Pixel smartphone is said to bring in a lot of new features and improvements with it next year and a new patent discovered by Patently Apple shows that the new Pixel will not have a visible front camera on the display, and does not have a cutout or pop-up lens.

Now the patent does not mention anything about how the camera will be visible in the phone for front video and selfies. However, it does give a strong hint on the fact that the company might be using the under-display lens, which came into the news a few months back. The patent also confirms that the camera design and placement will remain the same as in previous smartphones from Pixel and will have two sensors and flash.

Other leaks also suggest that it will be powered using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and will have a dual sim slot as well. It was earlier expected that the company might introduce this phone as Pixel 5 Pro and then later launch the Pixel 6 with Snapdragon 888. However, it continues to remain a mystery until any official confirmation comes from Google. Also, we do expect a lot more information to pop out for Pixel 6 in the coming weeks.
